Situated on the banks of the River Severn, Bewdley was once a major inland port with many thriving industries. This beautiful Georgian riverside town retains its unique charm and has a wealth of listed buildings. At its heart is the much acclaimed Bewdley Museum where you can see local crafts people at work adjacent to the wonderful Jubilee Gardens and Community Orchard.
The Tourist Information Centre is at the front of the museum and is open daily.
The town is on the edge of the Wyre Forest and is an ideal starting point for many walks. Close to the centre is the Severn Valley Railway and the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park.
The town has an attractive shopping and riverside area offering a range of pubs, restaurants and cafés, has its own micro-brewery and a wealth of places to stay.
